Caring for the Spiritual Life of America

Preserving the trust that sustains chaplaincy as a lawful vital expression of faith, service, and spiritual care in American life.

Our Vision

Our vision is to restore our Nation’s founding faith that brings hope and healing through faith-based chaplaincy in our institutions and communities. We seek to renew the spiritual health and well-being of our Nation, producing citizens of character, integrity, and a commitment to serving others.

Who We Are

USFCN is a vital, bold, visionary initiative–one that builds on the proven success of chaplaincy in our schools, while opening new doors in institutions for national impact. It is a continued mission rooted in the Chaplain Corps and in the lifelong calling to serve God and Country. The motto Pro Deo et Patria — For God and Country —shaped our lives, as did decades of service to others. We have seen that spiritual care is not a luxury for a nation. It is part of the foundation that helps people endure hardship, form character, carry responsibility, and live with hope.

Designed to be a federally recognized coalition of faith-based endorsers and public-service partners, USFCN exists to uphold the sacred trust of chaplaincy and set national standards for those called to serve in America’s schools, communities, and government agencies. Chaplains should be properly trained, faithfully endorsed, and equipped to bring hope, wisdom, and spiritual care where it is needed most.

We believe children deserve special support that helps form character, integrity, purpose, and hope. We also believe chaplaincy must extend across the full continuum of life and service — supporting students, families, public servants, warfighters, veterans, and all those who protect and lead our communities.
