USFCN provides board certified chaplains and coaches who bring Christ-centered hope, purpose, and healthy relational outcomes to preserve the lawful and vital expression of spiritual life in America.

  • Establish National Endorsement Standards - Chaplains and coaches are endorsed by recognized faith groups to meet uniform moral, spiritual, and professional standards and criteria.

  • Protect Sacred-Endorsement Integrity - Safeguard the credibility and accountability of religious endorsing bodies across multiple faith traditions.

  • Unify Federal and Faith Partners - Build a coordinated system linking endorsers, academies, and agencies for responsible chaplain and coach placement.

  • Preserve Constitutional and Ethical Compliance - Uphold the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses, while maintaining the highest ethical standards in ministry.

USFCN Lines of Effort

1.)   Chaplain and Coach Placement: Uphold a national standard for the placement of chaplains and coaches in schools and institutions.

2.)   Build Partnership Capacity: Unite and collaborate with faith-based institutions, veteran’s groups, endorsers, sponsors, churches, and faith communities.

3.)   School and Institution Engagement Strategy: Active communication and engagement with Schools and Institutions.

4.)   Program Evaluation: Conduct research and surveys to determine the effectiveness of chaplains and coaches in schools and institutions.

Chaplains and coaches must meet the requirements outlined in the application and placement process.

Application Process for USFCN Board Certification

  • Review education, accreditation, & certifications

  • Assess and validate professional ministry experience

  • Recognized ecclesiastical endorsement

  • Compliance with national endorsement & board certification standards

  • Board certification

Chaplains and coaches will be placed into positions based on education, experience, endorsement, and USFCN board certification.

USFCN Responsibilities

  • Manage placement requirements

  • Assess and screen for placement

  • Conduct background checks

  • Provide access to legal representation

  • Assist in supervision, mentorship, and support of chaplains and coaches

  • Incorporate relationship programs, workshops, and support groups
